Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
- Your data stays on your iPhone. Rove has no servers, and nothing about you is sent to us.
- No accounts. You never sign up or give us your name or email.
- No ads, analytics or tracking. Rove has no third-party SDKs and doesn't track you across apps or websites.
- We never sell or share your data, and your health data is never used for advertising.
Rove is made by Vlado Pravda ("we"). This policy explains what the Rove app uses, why, and where it's kept.
Apple Health
With your permission, Rove reads sleep, steps, walking and cycling distance, flights climbed, active energy, workouts and State of Mind from Apple Health, and can save the mood, sleep and workouts you log in Rove back to Health. Rove uses this only to calculate your daily score on your device. You can change these permissions any time in the Health app under Sharing → Apps → Rove.
Screen Time
If you connect Screen Time, Rove uses Apple's Screen Time framework to learn roughly how much time you've spent on the categories you choose, in 15-minute steps. Rove never sees which apps you used or what you did in them. You can turn this off in Settings → Screen Time.
Motion
Rove can use your iPhone's motion data to tell when you got up, so sleep you track in Rove is logged accurately. It's processed on your device only.
What you log
Your mood, sleep and workouts entered in Rove, and your setup answers (like your sleep need and wake-up time), are stored on your iPhone. Your score is shared with Rove's widgets through storage on your device.
Ask Rove
Questions you ask are answered by Apple Intelligence's on-device model. Your questions and the summary of your days it uses are processed on your iPhone and are not sent to us or anyone else.
Notifications
Bedtime and morning reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone. You can turn them off in Rove's Profile or in Settings → Notifications.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Rove only learns whether your subscription is active; we never receive your payment details. Manage or cancel your subscription in Rove's Profile or in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Backups
Rove's on-device data may be included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backups, depending on your settings. Apple Health data is stored and synced by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Deleting Rove removes everything it stored on your iPhone. Data Rove saved to Apple Health stays there until you delete it in the Health app.
Children
Rove is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
